Basic Outline of sidebet rules / how to play
Blackjack Switch is a variation on the traditional game of Blackjack, the rules of which are otherwise available on this web site.
On tables offering the game, the player has the option to bet on “Blackjack Switch”. This essentially involves betting on two hands at the outset rather than one. Once two cards are dealt to their two hands, the player then has the option of swapping the two second cards between the two hands in order to make the best possible hands. For example if the two hands were 10,7 and A,4 the player could swap the 7 and the Ace to give 10,A and 4,7.
“Blackjacks” are paid even money (even if the cards are not swapped and the hand was dealt at the outset). However, where the Dealer achieves a score of 22, all scores of 21 or less are stand-offs, except for Blackjacks which are still paid even money. The rules of Blackjack are otherwise applied as normal.
The game can also come with an optional side bet (“Supermatch”). This involved the initial four cards dealt to the player’s two hand (two cards on each) containing between them either a pair, three cards of the same value (not necessarily the same suit), two pairs or all four cards of the same value.
